TODAY: SIXTH SUNDAY OF
EASTER: “JESUS IS THE
WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE” as we heard in last Sunday’s Gospel. Jesus continues to send the same message in today’s Gospel when
He proclaims: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be
with you always, the Spirit of Truth”. The Holy spirit will introduce the Apostles
to the whole truth and will remind them what Jesus said and did. Jesus called Himself the Truth and He wants
His followers to follow Him in that Truth, and to be children of light, full of
grace and Truth. Jesus is the Truth for
everyone and He established the greatest perfection of human nature. He was perfectly free as a man. In the greatest measure He was aware of His
responsibility for His words and deeds and He was devoted to His mission that
He received from His Father. As a man
He completely lived for others and for the glorification of His heavenly
Father. He was perfectly faithful to
His conscience, toward Himself and all others.
As a man He was balanced in all His dimensions. He was a true masterpiece of mankind. For us Jesus is incarnate God’s Truth by
which our heavenly Father wanted to reveal Himself to us human beings. In Him the very heaven has spoken and has
directed the words of eternal life.
That is why Jesus said: “Whoever has seen Me has seen the
Father. The words I speak are not
spoken about myself; it is the Father who lives in Me, accomplishing all His
works”. (John 14, 9-10).

CATHOLIC CHARITIES: Bishop Edward U. Kmiec notified all

million goal, and are about $1 million short of the goal. Therefore, to provide parishioners in all
parishes one more opportunity to contribute to Appeal 2008, the Bishop has declared
the weekend of May 17 and 18, 2008:
Catholic
Charities Weekend. More
information in future bulletins.
DANAS: 6.
No danas njegova rijec ide dalje: “Ja cu moliti Oca i On ce vam dati drugoga
Isus govorio i cinio.
milosti i istine. (Iv
1,17). (a) Isus je istina za svakog
covjeka. U svojoj
je osobi ostvario najvece savršenstvo ljudske
naravi.
(Iv 14, 9-10).

MESSAGE
FROM MEDJUGORJE APRIL 25: “Dear Children. Also today I call all of you to grow in God’s love as a flower
which feels the warm rays of spring. In
this way also you, little children, grow in God’s love and carry it to all
those who are far from God. Seek God’s
will and do good to those who God has put in your way, and be their light and
joy. Thank you for having responded to
my call.” BVM
IMPORTANT NEWS FROM FATHER
CHRIS
FROM OUR PASTOR'S DESK
To all
parishioners: There is a lot of work to be done around our parish, church and
hall. I am asking for volunteers to help with cutting
the grass, trimming around the property and to help with other things that
might need to be cleaned or repaired. A
sign-up sheet is in the vestibule. We
have many parishioners who are retired, and this will give you an opportunity
to get out of their house and be helpful. Please sign up for some type of duty. Grass cutting would have to be done by Thursday of the week
because we have parties in the pavilion on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during
the summer. Call me at 822-0818 if you
have any questions. Father Chris.
