TODAY, 7th SUNDAY OF EASTER: Jesus is praying for His disciples: “Father, keep them in Your name, which You have given Me, that they may be one, even as we are one…I in them, and You in Me, that they may become perfectly one.  I speak this in the world so that they may share My joy perfectly.”  Jesus revealed God as a father.  Only those will prepare true unity who have trust in God, the Father, and who turn to Him with filial love.  Faith and love will be a pledge of unity and true happiness, which is a fruit of this unity and love.  “I am not in the world any longer, but they remain in the world while I am coming to You.  I do not ask that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one.”   “The world” is the force against God.  Christian life is not running away from the world - - - it is the source of energy for the world.  “Consecrate them in the truth.”  “I consecrate Myself for them, so that they also may be consecrated in truth.”   To consecrate is the same meaning as to sacrifice.   Jesus consecrates Himself and sacrifices Himself so that they may be holy, and together with Him they may become a perfect sacrifice.  The Christian must live in the world with other people but in a different way.  In that way he becomes a living witness for God, a sign of God’s presence among the people and the greatest gloficiation of God.

DANAS: 7. A oni ostau u svijetu dok ja idem k tebi . . .
