TODAY, FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT: We
begin a new Liturgical Year with the first Sunday of Advent. In Advent, we remember the period in the history
of salvation when people were waiting for the Savior promised by God. The Savior came as a person, the Son of God,
and we celebrate His coming on Christmas Day.
Remembering Jesus’ First coming to us, we meditate upon our own
salvation and His Second coming. The
Second coming will happen individually after our death, and it will take place
at the end of time to all mankind…at the Last Judgment. If we die as God’s friends, our encounter
with Jesus will be the beginning of our eternal happiness, and as such we will
be reaching the end of the world and God’s final Judgment. Jesus talks about it in today’s Gospel. Jesus’ great desire is to take us to His
Kingdom after this earthly life. That
is why He died for us. It is up to us
--- we are not to offend God’s goodness in anything. He wants to have us with Him eternally happy. Jesus is calling us “friend”, and
“brother”. “Be prepared: you do not
know the day or the hour.”

DANAS:
Spasitelj,
u osobi Sina Božjega, došao je, a mi to proslavljujemo na blagdan njegova
dolazak. Taj se drugi Isusov dolayak
dogodi svakom čovjeku pojedinačno nakon njegove smrti, a cijelom
onda i dočekati konac ovoga svijeta i sveopći Božji Sud o čemu
nam Isus govori u današnjem evanđelju.
Isusa će doći iznenada poput onog domaćina u
evanđelju. I smrt za mnoge
dođe posve nenadano. A onda se
čovjek susretne s Isusom blagim ili strogim Sucem.
sretne, Isus nas prijateljski i bratski poziva i upozorava: «Pazite! Bdijte, jer ne znate kada je čas!»
TODAY: We light the first candle of our Advent Wreath. The four candles help us count the four
Sundays in Advent as we wait for Christmas when we celebrate God becoming one
of us in Jesus Christ.

MONTHLY MESSAGE FROM MEDJUGORJE NOV. 25TH
«Dear children! Also today I call
you, in this time of grace, to pray for little Jesus to be born in your
heart. May He, who is peace itself,
give peace to the entire world through you.
Therefore, little children, pray without ceasing for this turbulent
world without peace. so that you may become witnesses of peace for all. May hope begin to flow through your hearts
as a river of grace. Thank you for
having responded to my all.» BVM
PORUKA, 25. STUDENOG 2008
«Draga djeco! I danas vas pozivam
Neka nada potece
vašim srcima kao rijeka milosti. Hvala
vam što ste se odazvali mome pozivu.»
