TODAY, DEDICATION OF THE LATERAN BASILICA IN ROME: We celebrate a special solemnity today…the solemnity of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica, which was a Papal Cathedral in ancient times.  It is a symbol of our religious and Catholic communion.  The dedication of the Papal Cathedral is celebrated in the whole Diocese, and we are united with the Holy Father to celebrate this dedication with the whole Church.  Closing and demolishing a church makes us very angry.  But we know that a single soul has greater value than any church, because man has an immortal soul. There will be no churches, no cathedrals in eternity, but the saved and redeemed man will be with his God.  All churches and cathedrals are built according to our human imagination, our human plans, and according to man’s picture.  Only man is made in God’s image.  We praise God in our churches for our unity and our political and religious leaders, and also for each other.

obnovi i napreduje.
