TODAY: 27th SUNDAY OF
ORDINARY TIME : Israel is compared to the Lord's
vineyard. Throughout history God sent
prophets to His people. They spoke in
God's name and always reminded Israel about the Covenant they made with the
Lord God. But the prophets' fate was
the same...some were stoned, others were killed. This was known where many prophets were killed. The same fate was
waiting for the greatest prophet who was the son of a domestic owner. He was killed outside of the vineyard
because he was to inherit everything. Because of that the Lord's vineyard goes
into the hands of a new God's people whom He has chosen and who want to obey God's
will and His ordinances. The CHURCH is
God's chosen people, a «new people», which wants to bring fruits. That is why the Church took over the role of
the old Israel on the day of the Lord's resurrection, when the builders
rejected the stone that became the «cap stone» of the structure. Christ is in the heart of our history of
salvation...not the killed Christ, but the Risen Christ who is always present
in the midst of His people. We belong
to that people and this is why we have to bring fruits worthy of that
belonging. Only those who readily
accept the fate of their Teacher, and follow Him faithfully, will bring fruits
on all their paths.
DANAS: 27. NEDJELJA KROZ
GODINU: Izrael se usporežuje s Božjim
vinogradom. Gospodin je kroz svu
povijest slao svom narodu proroke. Oni
su nastupali u Božje ime i uvijek podsjećali narod na Savez s Gospodinom. No sudbina im je bila gotovo ista: jedni su
kamenovani, drugi načine poubijani.
«Povijest karakterizira velika pogibija proroka!» (A. Pronzato) Ista sudbina čeka i najvećeg Proroka, koji je ikada
poslan izabranom narodu. On je
«posljednji» on je «Sin» domaćinov.
No i njega ubiše izvan grada, jer je bio baštinik. Radi toga prelazi «vinograd Gospodnji» u
druge ruke, baština Gospodnja postaje svojinom novog Božjeg naroda, koji je Bog
sebi odabrao, koji želi u svemu izvršavati volju i naredbe Gospodinove. Crkva je Božji narold, novi narod koji želi
«donositi plodove». U tu svrhu ona je i
preuzela mjesto i ulogu starog
Izraela i to na dan Gospodinova uskrsnuća, kad odbaciše kamen
graditelji. A upravo taj kamen postade
kamen zaglavni. U središtu je cijele
naše povijesti spasenja Krist, ali ne više onaj ubijeni, nego Krist koji je
uskrsnuo, koji živi, koji je trajno prisutan usred svog naroda. Tom narodu pripadamo i mi. Stoga treba da «donosimo i plodove» dostojne
tog pripadništva. Samo će onaj
moći donositi plodove koji spremno prihvaća sudbinu svog
Učitelja i vjerno Ga slijedi na svim životnim putovina.
