PLEASE NOTE:

TODAY: EXALTATION OF THE HOLY CROSS: Today we celebrate the Lord’s Feast.  This is why His feast has precedence over the regular Sunday (24th Sunday of the year).  The Liturgical color is red, which means martyrdom, color of blood, color of love.  All this is emphasized in today’s Feast of the Exultation of the Cross, which we celebrate today with love.  Jesus gave all His blood to the last drop.  Jesus’ Cross is in the heart of our faith and also in our love toward God and toward His Son Jesus Christ.  This love toward every person brought Him to the Cross.  He gave His life so that we might live.  the symbol of that love is the Holy Cross.  This is why today’s feast is not only a celebration of one symbol for us Christians, but also a feast of God’s immense love.  Let us open our hearts to God’s love, and let us try to remove every evil from our hearts…our hatred, selfishness, pride and everything that made Jesus carry His cross and be crucified on it.
