TODAY: 25th Sunday of Ordinary Time: Jesus’ parable in today’s Gospel is about workers who start work in a vineyard at various times of the day and yet receive the same pay as the workers who worked all day.  God does not judge and reward us according to human justice.  His mercy and goodness exceed human expectation.  God gives everyone’s life a chance.  He calls us to work not because He needs workers but so that we may cooperate in the work of His vineyard.  It is never too late to begin.  Our talents do not matter.  What is needed is to answer His call.  God does not calculate as we do.  He rewards even the good will.  It is not important what we were working at, or what we have accomplished.  A good will is what counts and an effort on our part to answer the Lord’s will.  God takes care of all His children with Fatherly care, with no distinction.  There is reward and in the recognition for those who come last.  We just have to answer His call and do what is needed.  This tells us how immense God’s love and goodness is toward all of us.  His sun shines on good and bad, and it rains on good and evil.  The reward of eternal life is God’s to give; unearned…because God loves us and wants to make us happy for all eternity.

DANAS: 25. Nikad nije kasno!  Bitno je samo odazvati se i poći.  Nagrada neće izostati!  Bog nadalje ne računa (barem ne ljudskom računicom)!  On nagrađuje i dobru volju. Bog očinskom brigom vodi računa o svima, svoj svojoj djeci bez ikakve razlike i razlučivanja.  I za najzadnje ima nagrade i priznanja.  Bitno je da su se odazvali.  Tu dolazi do izražaja neizmjerna Božja dobrota i ljubav prema svim i svakom.  Ta njegovo sunce grije dobre i zle, a kiša pada nad dobrima i zlima.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVE: Family, where «the last will be first,» is the «vineyard» entrusted to us in                                              today's Gospel.  Successful families are constructed by «laborers» who work                                     hard on family relationships, and not by couch potatoes. Today Jesus is                                         saying to us: «Why are you idle?  Go into my vineyard.»

WEDDING BANNS II, III:  Dennis Daley and Kathie Procknal.

PRAY FOR THE SICK: Mrs. Nella Matulich who is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital.

DECEASED:  Mrs. Ana Kosanović, mother of our Sister M. Vjenceslava Kosanović,
