CONGRATULATIONS: to Petar Cuturic, who received the Altar Server’s Award from Bishop Edward U. Kmiec at the Cathedral on March 17.

TODAY, 4TH SUNDAY OF LENT: The parable about the prodigal son who, after wandering, comes back home to his father’s house --- the father has the central role --- the merciful father who prepares a banquet to celebrate his return home.  The parable is spoken because of the older son who was not joining the celebration prepared for his brother.  Jesus was, mainly, responding to the Pharisees and Levites because they were welcoming sinners and ate with them.  The parable is joyful news about God’s goodness and mercy.

DANAS 4.
