TODAY, PALM SUNDAY: There is something youthful in today’s solemnity.  It reminds us about the enthusiastic crowds that followed Jesus on the way to Jerusalem.  Jesus solemnly decided to enter the Holy City of Jerusalem on that unique Palm Sunday.  Up until now He was avoiding crowds and massive enthusiasm.  But now His hour has come.  Many of those who were crying out Hosana!” very soon will cry out on Good Friday “Crucify Him!  Crucify Him!”  Palm Sunday is an opportunity to show our youthful enthusiasm for Christ, joy for being Christians.  Today we pray to remain faithful even on Good Friday of our life.  Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem was a demonstration of peace.  The King who entered the city on a donkey is not a conqueror nor a worrier.  While carrying palm branches we profess the truth that this world cannot be saved by a military force, but with love and sacrifice.

A sada, sada je do{ao njegov ~as. No molimo dam u ostanemo vjernmi i na Veliki petak svoga `ivota.

TODAY: Holy Week starts today, in which we meditate upon the mysteries of our salvation.  Jesus’ suffering, dying and rising.  This is what we all have to experience and we have to reconcile ourselves in the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).  We are all asked to fulfill our Easter obligation: to make a good Confession before Easter.  Use every opportunity to go to Confession and remind your family members to do the same.
