Lenten
Season 2008:
Lent
is a forty-day season of preparation for Easter. Lent always
begins on a Wednesday, called Ash Wednesday.
We skip Sundays when we count the forty days, because Sundays
commemorate the Resurrection. Lent begins on February 6, 2008
and ends
on March 20, 2008.
Holy Week is the last week of Lent. Holy Week begins on March
16, 2008 and ends on March 22, 2008.
