Lenten
Season 2009:
Lent
is a forty-day season of preparation for Easter. Lent always
begins on a Wednesday, called Ash Wednesday.
We skip Sundays when we count the forty days, because Sundays
commemorate the Resurrection. Lent begins on Feb. 25th and ends
April 9, 2009.
Holy Week is the last week of Lent. Holy Week begins on April
9th an ends April 11, 2009.
