Our
new performance LOVE
FAMILY
was created
for our Family Dinner event
"Truly
professional performance by a gifted ensemble"
Our
second stage presentation was inspired by and created as
a tribute to Love of Family. Actors presented a selection
of humorous poems and created vibrant characters. For many
of our performers this was the first time on the stage,
but they knew how to capture attention of the audience and
present their talent. Our cast was fantastic especially
the children, and their presentation on stage was excellent.
Despite a very short time for the rehearsals, everyone took
their place in the artistic puzzle, and created a wonderful,
and precious moment on the stage. Audience was there for
a unique experience and special treat...

Our
first performance
was
created for our
90th
Celebration
"Performance about
the jurney you'll never forget"
Our
first performance named “New Country” was
created for 90th anniversary of Our Lady of Bistrica church.
It was dedicated to all Immigrants, and to our own Croatian
Immigrants who came to America, especially to those who
established the first Croatian Church in Lackawanna. Performance
reflected a struggle of all people on their journey to
the new land. Accompanied by a slide presentation with
authentic, historic photographs and facts, actors presented
this emotional story, not only by acting, but also by
living it. Audience was silently witnessing progress of
this moving story, they or their parents experienced themselves,
and by the time the cast lit their 90 candles on the stage,
everyone was touched and deeply involved in their own
memories. With the singing of the birds, our children,
the future generations, put out the burning candles…
The moment of silence lost itself in the sound of applause.

Wind is hiding breeze in
branches of birch
It looks for the sign
of destiny’s game,
We Croatian people, have
built our church
Keeping old traditions,
and cultural flame.
We embraced America, this beautiful
land
With an open soul, excitement of love,
For its people, country, a speck of
the sand,
Desire for freedom in heart of a dove.
Wounded by the wars, with pride
in our blood,
Coming to this country, hoping for
a new start,
We brought our treasure, our faith
in God,
Celebrating life with love in our
heart. |

Zemlja
Vjetar svoj dah skriva u brezinu lišcu,
Sa sudbinom kani pocet’ igru novu,
Gradec’ svoju crkvu koju duše išcu
Hrvatske kulture plameni nas zovu.

Amerika
diše našom zemljom dragom,
Raskriljenih ruku što ljubavi vode,
Za ljude, prašinu i pjesak za pragom,
Kad k’o ptica prhne nebu do slobode.
Ranjeni smo ratom, ponosnog smo roda,
Ovamo smo došli poceti iznova,
S ljubavlju za Boga, sa cvjetanjem ploda,
Proslavljamo život, ljubav blagoslova. |
